Breast Uplift (Mastopexy)

Breast uplift surgery, also known as a mastopexy, is a sugical procedure to improve the appearance of the breasts. Due to childbirth, breast feeding, weight changes and the effect of gravity, a woman’s breasts can start to sag. The nipples can often start to point downwards.

A breast uplift procedure involves removing skin and breast tissue and tightening the skin to create a more pleasing shape. The nipples will be repositioned facing upwards if necessary. This procedure may also be combined with a breast augmentation procedure for best results.

A breast uplift procedure will be performed under general anaesthetic and generally patients stay overnight. Mr Yii uses dissolvable stitches which will disappear over a period of a few weeks. You will be seen a week after the procedure and then a few weeks later.

As with all surgical procedures, there are risks and potential side effects to a breast uplift procedure and Mr Yii will discuss them in full with you before you go ahead with the procedure.
